Intimate Sunrise Mountain Elopement in Potlatch, Idaho

Updated: Jan 23, 2020

When I think back to my favorite moments of 2018, Maria + Bryan's mountain elopement most certainly stands out. I've been lucky enough to be part of some pretty amazing, intimate celebrations of love in my career so far, and let me tell you, I think it's the closet thing we have to real life magic! Getting to say yes to forever however and wherever your heart desires allows for some spectacular adventures!

On the early, early morning of 8/8/18, I hopped in my car and set out for what was about to be an incredible adventure! Maria + Bryan had planned to elope at Mary M. McCroskey State Park at sunrise. Over the years together, this couple hiked through these hills, drove to the top of this mountain, so when it came to starting their forever together, they wanted to do it here! We drove to a spot they had selected weeks back, in complete darkness, and awaited the sunrise. Maria wore a wedding dress she sewed herself, carried a hand picked wildflower bouquet while Bryan dawned his cowboy boots and the biggest smile. Surrounded by just family, we watched the sunrise become the most vibrant pink I had ever seen and their mountain elopement began!

Personalized vows, happy tears and laughter commenced. The sun peeked over the valley and changed colors as these two became husband and wife! The three of us then spent the early morning hours adventuring the mountainside and ended our time together back at Maria's family's land where we rolled around in wildflower fields and Maria's horse got in on some photos too! This day was unlike any other and numerous times that morning I felt like I was dreaming. Thank you Maria + Bryan for letting me on your adventure. I will never forget it :)

Scroll away + enjoy this mountain elopement magic my friends!
