I've known Sophie and Brian for quite awhile and I'm so beyond happy to have them as friends. When they got engaged last fall I was elated that I received a text right away from Sophie saying that they wanted me to document their love story! It is a true joy to photograph friends. Seeing a couple you've known for years begin a journey together and trust you with capturing all that they are, and all that they are to become is an honor. Sophie and Brian's full trust in my photography work led to a perfect snowy mountain top engagement session last winter and this past September it led to the documentation of a purely magical day. And let me just say we made some magic happen!

Being around Sophie & Brian is always a pleasure. Not only are they individually some of the sweetest people you will ever meet, but they are also a beautiful example of love. It's the real kind of love. The kindness, respect and patience to the belly laughs and huge smiles and an occasional eye roll because of a dorky comment kind of love. The kind of love that embraces each other for all that they are and continually grows. They knew each other long before they dated and I believe fate had a plan all along that led them to September 17th, 2016. The weather was giving us everything from high winds to scattered showers, but during the 45 minutes of their couple photographs the sun shined just about as beautiful as it could have and I do not think that was just any coincidence. It shined just as bright and bold as their love.

The ceremony began at 5pm that Saturday evening. Winds howled through the tent but family and friends eagerly waited to witness Sophie & Brian's love. The couple vowed each other forever underneath a stunning arbor that the bride's grandfather built.

After a simply magical bride & groom photo session the festivities kicked off! Sophie and Brian wore their matching Mr & Mrs aprons as they enjoyed ribs, like awesome couples do. The night continued with all the beautiful wedding traditions.
